I am Lisette Silva, a twenty-four year old Mexican American. I was born and raised in Stockton California. I have two younger siblings, a handsome cocker spaniel, two bunnies and amazing parents. I am a lover of animals, tea and nature. This year I am also expecting my first child, so it is full of new experiences for me. I am a Delta college transfer, making this my first semester at UOP. I graduated from high school in 2014 from Pacific Law Academy, I remember visiting Uop on school field trips and being so excited to come here. My goal is to earn my bachelors in studio art and a minor in graphic design. I am the first in the family to attend a University so I want to make them proud.

   Drawing and painting is something I have loved doing ever since I was very young. It is a way to express myself and also relaxing. When I was younger I would draw my grandparents animals by looking at them, they would hang my work on the refrigerator. It made me happy seeing my drawings on the fridge every time I went to visit. You can say that was my first exhibition. During my time at Delta I had the opportunity to show one of my ceramic projects during the student show. It was cool to see it among the other amazing artworks. While at pacific I hope to enhance my artistic skills and gain knowledge from my professors. I am also interested in different types of careers available for my desired degree.
